Aspen Music Festival and School 2025
Each summer, nearly 500 young artists come to Aspen to play music in four orchestras, sing, conduct, compose, and study with more than 100 artist-faculty members who come from the orchestras of Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Dallas, the Metropolitan Opera, and the leading conservatories and music schools. In a unique construct, they are both students and colleagues of their highly accomplished teachers and perform side by side with them all summer long
Performances, workshops and rehearsals take place at the Klein Music Tent or Harris Hall, or at various venues around Aspen. Harris Hall and the Klein Music Tent are a 10-minute drive or 10-minute (free) bus ride from Ruby Park bus terminal, which is 2 blocks from Lift One Condominiums. Other venues are a 5-10 minute walk from Lift One.

Free Musical performances in Aspen!
There are numerous FREE musical offerings every week as part of the music festival. Here is a partial list:
1) Ticketed performances at the Klein Music tent can be enjoyed for free from the lawn outside the tent. Sections are marked for “Serious listeners” and “Casual listeners” so ensure maximum enjoyment for everyone. Bring a picnic and your lawn chairs.
2) Streetcorner music – stop to enjoy the music being offered by Music students at random times. Popular spots are outside Paradise Bakery and next to the Dancing Waters fountain. Be a sport and put a bill or two in the instrument case for the performers.
3) Community Sound Healing – Free midday event with Megan DiSabatino, held daily on the Music Lawn. The schedule runs throughout the festival
4) Aspen Mountain – Sundeck Bluegrass Sundays
Held most Sundays through summer into early fall (exact dates per the gondola schedule). Located at the top of the gondola on Aspen Mountain, there is no cover; just your gondola ticket required.
5) Spotlight Recitals – Intimate performances at venues like Harris Concert Hall, Aspen Chapel, Pitkin County Library. Almost daily slots are free during the festival season. Go to the music festival website for details
