Can it be true? Aspen Food and Wine Classic 2017 is less than a month away? This is the 35th anniversary for the Classic in Aspen and as always we are getting down and dirty in our preparations for welcoming everyone back to Lift One. Per usual, all the tickets are already sold for this year, but if you like international food festivals, say with a few Top Chefs and rubbing shoulders with famous personalities, mark your calendar to buy tickets for 2018! It is the signature event for Food and Wine Magazine and it is not to be missed!

After Food and Wine, the summer is a constant stream of music, events and outdoor fun! June 29th is the start of the Aspen Music Festival which goes until August 20th this year. Some highlights include Renee Fleming on July 30th, Garrison Keillor performing his “Love and Comedy” Show on August 14th and Edgar Meyer on August 17th.

The Aspen Ideas Fest is from June 22nd – July 1st. Aspen Ideas Festival is the nation’s premier, public gathering place for leaders from around the globe and across many disciplines to present and discuss the ideas and issues that both shape our lives and challenge our times. Followed shortly after is a very special time in Aspen with the Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration. This year July 4th falls on a Tuesday so come and make an extra-long weekend out of the holiday! The last big festival of the summer is the MotherLode Volleyball Tournament over Labor Day, this year on August 30-September 4th.

Besides all of our amazing annual events, some of our favorite Aspen summer hot spots are the Farmer’s Market, Saturday Classical Music and Bluegrass Sundays on the top of Aspen Mountain, the Belly Up and the Wheeler Opera House.

More art, music and performances are to be had at Theater Aspen (this year one of the shows is Hairspray!), Snowmass Free Summer Concerts, Jas Aspen Snowmass June 22nd – July 1st and September 1-3rd, and the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet.
